I like the screen name, but it does show your age.

Welcome aboard, lots of oldies around, I didn't start until after retiring, take your time & enjoy the journey.

    Welcome fom a fellow UKer.

Whitefiver’s went out of use when I was a kid, is your moniker related to your age?

Where ever you live do a search for nearby UKE clubs/societies etc. You will be surprized at just how many there are eg I have 7 within a 20 minute drive of me.

If you are retired search for U3A organisations near you as many have a UKE Group, I am in one such Group in the City where I live.

    Hi,

    Thanks for replies.

Yes, I'm fully retired, and whilst not directly related, my name does give a general indication of my age. (Actually, it is more a reflection of a standing joke that my wallet is full of moths, and whitefivers! I assure you this is NOT true - entirely)

I'm also in the Midlands of UK, and have been attending beginners group lessons for a year, and have recently graduated to the full sessions run by Go Ukulele Crazy. Up to 40 of us gather each week for an hour or so of playing, followed by coffee and cake! It's just great fun.
