What wood is this?

Highly figured wood is often hard to tell.. Maybe curly Cherry with som sapwood. Assuming you mean the back:)
 
I love mango!!! IMO mango shows more open grain than the sample. Timbuck... I'd love to see that when it sounds like a Ukulele!!!

The back looks like the highly figured acacia you sometimes see marketed as koa from the far east.

The top looks like either ceder or chestnut

But I'm guessing :)
 
And the answer is: Phu Qoc Island acacia and incense cedar :) Well done everyone. Could have been any of those other suggestions.
