Love this song and it's first time I've heard the English lyrics. Very nice rendition!

I think it was the humorist Dave Barry who said he misheard the lyrics as "One ton tomato... I ate a one-ton tomato."

Thank you John. That 'one ton' thing got around a lot. Good to see you back up on the site.
I heard a vid with Pete Seeger speaking the translation during the song but don't believe I've heard them sung either.
