This is my uke. I've owned her for years and want to chang the low wound G string. I've done some googling but i thought the experts here might give me a better vision of what i should be buying. Maybe whole set?
So what's a great wound low G string?
I appreciate all the help.

Another vote for Fremont Soloist Low G string. Also available at Elderly Instruments.

Oasis wound low G is good too.

You've already ordered so it's neither here nor there but Soloist or a Thomastik Infeld CF30. Very similar strings - I tend to use whichever I can get my hands on most easily when I want one.

If the existing set is already several years old it may make more sense to get a whole new set (they are sooo cheap) so that there is some consistency in sound and low G will not stick out like a sore thumb. You may also have to adjust your nut slot and saddle compensation.
