No, not Ritchie Blackmore and buds, the song...but without the words, and a bit different tempo...ah well, anyway, it’s a cool chord progression my buddy Steve brought to a session AS Deep Purple, and it wormed it’s way into my skull, so I’ll call it Deep Purple. Played on a Timms uke that’s making its way hopefully around the world. We’ll see how far it goes. Nice uke, btw, very competent builder, Timms.

Great rendition Neal, I have always thought the chord progression wonderful. Your treatment is an entirely new dimension!
I play it in F on a Timms as well.

"Deep Purple"
Music by Peter De Rose-Written in 1934 as a piano composition - then lyrics added in 1939 by Mitchell Parish.

When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to twinkle in the night
In the mist of a memory you wander on back to me
Breathing my name with a sigh
In the still of the night once again I hold you tight
Though you’re gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams
And as long as my heart will beat, sweet lover we’ll always meet
Here in my deep purple dreams

I can play as good as that. I just CHOOSE not to. lol

Joking aside, great stuff Neal mate. I REALLY wish I COULD play like that. Very impressed.
