Hello I am new to the forum and I have a few items I would like help identifying. My latest acquisition came from my grandmother who bought it for my aunt but I can't seem to find anything online so I thought I'd post a few pictures here. It is a Sears and Roebuck silvertone model 319 57-12551 100.
I would like to guess that it is made in 1957 but I have no absolute way of knowing. Anyhow, it is in mint condition and in the Box and photos attached. Thanks in advance for any knowledge on this particular model.

Nice Japanese Silvertone there. Not a 1957, as Silvertones were still coming out of the Harmony factory in Chicago at that time. Also Sears didn’t start using that logo until 1963-4. My guess is it’s about a 1968-9 or so, as they discontinued the Silvertone name on instruments in about 1970. Not much value, even in minty condition, maybe $75 on a good day.

Thanks for the info! I put new strings on it and gonna let it sit in the house and stretch a bit, although the original pegs don't seem too awesome, and I'm not expecting it to stay tuned. I'm currently plucking around on another Silvertone I picked up in St. Petersburg for $20 at an antique store, and after putting new pegs( I bought from Stewmac) it sounds amazing! Even with the plastic fret board. Here's a few pictures. Yes,I know I put the keys on upside down

My first guitar was a Sear Silvertone classical made of plastic. It was 1964! Wasn't great but it got me started. Wasn't too many stores where I lived so I was dressed from head to toe in stuff from the Sears catalog. Even had a Sears transistor radio, bike, fishing pole and catcher's mitt!

Love the screw-on fingerboard on that Silvertone ukulele!
