I don't know what Kala is up to, but I ain't impressed.

For less than half that much dough, I'd rather buy a Sponge Bob pineapple uke....

I think they're good for a uke that you don't have to worry about and just strum along on camping trips or the like, but I'd never go to it for the tone. Or the playability.

The price though? The price is just crazy. It's essentially a Makala Pineapple that costs $50 with a painted body.
