New to forum and the Ukulele - Central Virginia

Hi all! I’m Fred from Virginia. My 7-year-old got a cheap soprano ukulele for Christmas last year and I’m hooked!

I’m planning a trip to Fan Guitar and Ukulele in Richmond after my kids start school this fall to try out some real instruments.

I play almost daily and after about 5 months, I’m beginning to lose the buzz and off-tone mistakes. It’s super fun!

I look forward to sharing my ukulele journey with you all.

Looks like Mim’s is almost 4 hours from me. Richmond is just under 2. If I come up empty in Richmond, perhaps I’ll plan a family trip to Dan.

A Uke is a great fun instrument to play, enjoy your trip to Richmond.

I am lucky, I have two music stores that carry a good range of Ukes 20 minutes from home.
