I've recently gained interest in buying a tenor ukulele. I have been playing on a Kala KA-CEM for a few years (and some Hilo concert before that). Side question - is it worthwhile to get an electric version.

My budget is around $125 but it's a little flexible. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Kala KA-TE electric version

Kala KA-TEME mahogony, electric which is the one I have.

You'll always get different opinions on here. ;)

I started out with a Makala tenor, nothing wrong with it, played well, but then got the chance of a Kala KA-T, at a discount, which I bought, sounds really nice with fluorocarbon low G strings. :)

Whilst I mainly play tenor scale ukes, I prefer smaller bodies than the standard tenor uke - long (tenor) neck concerts & giraffe (tenor) neck soprano to be precise. :D

Personally, having bought some ukes with built in pick ups, I wouldn't bother again, I seldom used them, preferring to use a mic instead.
