Default Looking for a ukulele group, western NC

Beginner player here. I play fingerstyle guitar but got a uke just to have fun and take it with me. I would like to find a ukulele group in my area but google searches don’t come up with much. I live near Brevard, NC so Asheville area groups are a possibility. Any leads on how to find one?

Google brought up Asheville Ukulele Society, and referenced a Facebook page. I don't do FB so couldn't get any more info.

Thanks, I have found reference to them but the Facebook page seems to be inactive. I don’t do Facebook either so I’m not 100% sure

I'll post anything else I find and hope you will as well. It sounds like a group would be a good thing once (if ever?) I get past the rank beginner stage.

Asheville Ukulele Society, very friendly and welcoming group, meets Monday evenings 6-8 pm at the Montford Recreation Center. There is a Weaverville uke group and supposedly one or two others in the area but I have no more details yet.
