I buy those little batteries from Amazon for under $0.50 each. Many things use the 2032, and I buy ten or twelve at a time.

Disasters one after the other happen to me all the time.

Maybe it's just me, but the idea of having a "key" at all means having something you actually insert into the lock and turn to open, as well as to lock. Otherwise I just don't trust it.
