A week ago Sunday, our group Ukers For Life participated, with several other ukulele/non uke groups in a 5 hour concert to raise money for the Bahamian hurricane victims.
7 of us opened the show with a rousing 30 minute set, with my wife helping out on UBass.
She bought raffle tickets, and won the 50/50 prize, socked the $50 back into the donation til.
By the time we were all done performing, we had raised over $1050 for the relief!
We were pooped, but very pleased.
