one step forward two steps back

I just put the strings on another soprano and gave it it's final set up..This one I was proud of looked good and sounded good

I took a lot of care with this one to get everything right...Then I noticed a small ding on the face of the headstock

..I tried one or two remedies to bring it out but nothing worked

so off with the strings and tuners and scrape off the finish and sand back till the ding was gone..now Mrs T is going to re -apply the FP.:wallbash:

I call these things "self inflicted injuries". Kinda like shooting yourself in the foot. It happens. Nothing worse than hearing that hollow "BONK!" sound as you hit your new completed perfect ukulele into (fill in the blank here).
