Ukulele-Maker States

Assuming you’re only looking at US makers I’d guess that you’re short about 38 states there and probably DC. I know there are several small but good local luthiers making ukuleles, and I suspect that’s true elsewhere.

There’s a partial and out of date list of custom builders pinned to the Luthier’s Lounge here that includes several states that you missed, and not all custom builders have national or web presences. https://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?12834-A-Partial-List-of-Custom-Builders

Yes, I was considering only the USA. I know there are other independent uke makers, but some have a very low output, so where do you draw the line. I've made a bunch of cigar box ukes, but I wouldn't consider myself a builder. I was looking for major builders.

Thanks for that list. That's a lot of builders.

I'm adding Joel Eckhaus of Maine. He's a great player, instructor, and builder.
