Fret Spacing?

I'm assuming that the frets are farther apart on the Tenor ukulele than the concert ukulele, which would be easier to chord, am I right?

That largely depends on the size of your hands.

The span of my left (fretting) hand is 7 1/2 inches, at full stretch. Also, it needed surgery some years ago, to release snarled up tendons. I find soprano size is perfect for me. I can play concert and tenor, but don't feel comfortable.

Yeah, they're farther apart. I think neck width and string spacing is just as important. A wider nut and string spacing might feel more roomy for you.

I was thinking the same thing about the wider string spacing.
