Looking for Tenor Fluke Case

I wish they still offered the long, oblong hard cases they sold years ago. I bought a used Fluke that came with one of those cases. Except for that one, I think the others are in the zippered cases. The TKL case they sell now is similar to the older model, but it's zippered. The gig bag seems to be popular, but I like more protection, even for Fleas and Flukes

I saw a good DIY for making a custom case - sort of.
1. Get a hard case that has enough interior space to fit your uke.
2. Remove the side padding in the area of the body.
3. Get a thick foam insulation sheet and cut it to fit inside the case.
4. Trace the uke onto the foam, and cut out a spot for the uke to fit.
5. Use a thinner piece of foam as padding on the bottom of the case.
6. Cover the foam in appropriate fabric.

The original Hard Shell Case for Fluke was made by Gator. That's what I have for my Fluke Tenor.
Fits the instrument perfectly, and fits in the overhead bin on any any commercial flight I've taken.

I have the fluke bag but rarely use it. I took a Fluke on a two week tour of Australia and Tasmania without any kind of case. The Fluke is durable.

I like the TKL case for my Fluke. I find the case lightweight and reasonably durable. I've traveled by automobile with mine a lot but have not traveled by air with the case. The case is made to fit so you can be sure that it will.

The flukes are pretty durable, so they probably don't need as much protection as some other instruments. There are some nice heavier gig bags that are quite protective

My koa fluke gets tossed in the boot of my car last, so as not to squash it, but with no bag or case. Not a scratch on it yet (aside from strum marks).

Here's the fluke in a tenor TGI hard case. Fits pretty well, actually, I think I'll start using it!

I just checked, and I have a concert Fluke in one of those $25 - $30 cases, the kind that comes in black or yellow. The interior shape of cases varies, so it would be best to try the uke in the case before buying it.
I also have a concert Fluke in one of those nice zippered hard cases - TKL - that Magic Fluke sells. It must have come with the uke I bought. All my Magic Fluke instruments are concert size.
