My fingers insist on concerts. I have one super soprano, (so, concert neck), and the rest are concerts.
One size left out of the poll was the Ohta San, (and similar sized ukes, since Ono and others also have this size as an option.)
I could see that being a perfect size for some.
We're lucky to have so many options.
I had to look that up. Just when I thought I had it figured out.
Such a simple instrument to play, so complicated to shop for (only if you want to make it complicated).
Not complicated at all. Buy at least one of every size, or 2 of each size if you want high g and low g.
It is amazing that we have so many options.
Whoa so many votes for tenor!! Y’all must have stretchy fingers lol
I voted long neck soprano bc some standard sopranos only have 12 frets and I want 15 for harmonics!!
Currently concert scale has more votes than tenor scale, if you count the small bodied versions.
Depending on how many "long neck sopranos" are tenor scale.
Concert + LNS = 29+9 = 38
Tenor + LNC = 30+3 =33
Interesting.
Good point! But, the question was "if you could only have one uke" nothing about scale, I prefer concert scale, but if I could only have one uke, I'd keep my old Martin, it's amazing.
I don't want to live in a world with only one UkuleleThe premise of the question is unacceptable. OMG, only one, you’ve got to be kidding.
Yeah, I prefer concert scale but voted tenor because my favorite uke is a tenor. Same same. This poll is a bit different this way. But still, I imagined that on average the scale preferences would show through.
