Hi,

I'm on a budget.

I'd like to spend no more than $20 on a set of nut files. The welding hole clearing gizmos won't work for me, it has to have an actual handle and rigidity, like a real one sided file has. not negotiable I'm afraid, I'm old and my hands are not working well.

Is this possible?

The range of sizes:

metric: .42 .59 .71 .79 .90
SAE: .0165 .0220 .0270 .0305 .0360

BTW, I've searched UU and the only solution has been to pay about an order of magnitude more. I've no ability to pay that much. i.e. $90 would put me in an abode more suitable for a canine.

thanks in advance,

Well I can't vouch for the quality, but if you go to https://www.aliexpress.com and search on guitar nut files you'll find a set for $5.38.

I finally bought one of the $6 ones off of ebay, hopefully it will help finish off the file work done with a set of these:

I can't recommend the above files, they're too crude and large. They're ok for starting work on a nut, they're no good for finishing.
