I put a build thread up about this a while ago. David finished it up before the holidays, but due to the potential for holiday postal backup and my holiday travel plans we decided to have him wait to ship it until after the turn of the year.

Well, it arrived at the office today and it really is a lovely and very unique instrument. Simply lovely work. Just take a look at that curly Koa faceplate!

- Favilla teardrop inspired body
- Solid mahogany top, back, sides, and neck
- 3-pointed crown headstock with curly, spalted koa faceplate
- colored with reddish-brownish aniline dye and hand rubbed TruOil finish
- 15 frets, 1.5" nut, 14" scale
- Peghead tuners
- We ended up deciding on a Ohana concert size pinapple case. David had to add a little padding to it, but it works quite well for this uke.

I'll try to post a sound sample when I'm able to, but it might be a few days before I can get around to it.

Looking forward to giving it a play.

Sweeeeeeet

Terrific looking uke. Great finish.

Lovely instrument. I look forward to hear a review and samples. Enjoy

Wow, it is unique. I love the wood color. I bet it sounds cool.

Okay. Just brought it home and really gave it a play for the first time. Very very pleased with both the volume and the tone!

Also here it is next to my other ukes to give the idea of the size.

Here's is a sound comparison with my other ukes:

This was really the first time I had compared it to my other ukes so the video got a little long. Enjoy!

Looks, sounds, and feels great! David made an awesome uke!

Finally listened to this. Congrats!

I agree with you the Rebel is probably the "redundant" one of the four.

If you want to warm up the teardrop a litttle, I'd try some Livings Waters

Thanks Jim! Well, the Rebel just sold so now I'm down to 3 ukes that are all rather distinct from one another.
