    Default Mele Ukulele Body Shape

    Hi guys,
I just got my Mele concert and I noticed something interesting. The body is kinda taper up, not like a parallel square.
Lol Im not sure if I express clearly. Please see the photo.
Do all their ukulele have this type of body? I hope its not wood shrink or some sort.

The back taper towards the upper bout is not an uncommon design. However, it's more often seen on steel-string guitars than classical guitars and 'ukuleles.

A body taper such as this is a sign of a higher quality instrument.
Cheaper instruments will be built without a taper.

That taper isn't at all unusual.
Too many ukes, but I can't stop buying!
