Ebay seems kinda sketchy to buy with big money.
i had a really bad experience buying sound equipment from there and promised my self never to spend more then $20 on items off Ebay.

long story short i returned the $500 item as ebay told me too. when the seller recieved the item back, paypal didnt refund me, but sent the seller another $500. i called paypal that they made a mistake and they said they couldnt do nothing. so i lost $1000 and the merchandise.

Your experience does not sound right. If Paypal sent money to the wrong person, then they still owe you $500. I would contact PayPal directly and talk to a supervisor and then another and another until they get it right.

I agree rainbow21, buyer's protection on ebay is extremely lenient to the buyer. I know, having been a seller for a decade. One must be diligent.
