Kala Ziricote Tenor Review

IMHO, this ukulele is (a) eye-candy pretty, (b) not bad sounding for a laminate, but it IS a laminate, & (c) overpriced.

I bought one and I agree. I am new to ukes. I bought a Donner concert for my son at $75 CAD.
I realised I wanted to play Uke and bought myself a zerocote Tenor for $320. I knew going in, just by looking at all the other Kala Tenor models with solid spruce tops, I was paying a premium for the looks. But I wanted a laminate I can leave out in the living room and not worry so much about humidity (living in the frozen north).

This is a nice sounding, nice looking and a nice to play Uke. I am still pleased with my purchase. But is it 4 times the Donner (after I lowered the bridge)? Absolutely not.

So yeah I think if it was priced about $75 cheaper it would be a good buy but at the same time it really all depends what you want/need.
