Ukers For Life are at it again. Brag:
I was given a Kamaka soprano ukulele by a total stranger. It needs some work. She told me to give it to a child who couldn't buy an ukulele.
A Kamaka isn't exactly a child's uke...
So, we 'auctioned' it off, the buyer gave us a generous $500 'gift' for it,
and asked me to drop off the uke to a luthier for repairs!
UFL donated the whole 500 to the Ukulele Kids Club that very day. Now, about 10 kids will get good ukes, not just one (I Couldn't pick out one kid, let alone 10, to give ukes to, a very big job!)
BTW, UKC has given away 8500 ukes to sick kids!
