Lithium - a bit rubbish, sorry

I hope its ok to post vids that aren’t very polished.

I’ve been playing since September and have created my first video

https://youtu.be/HEvrMwD6414

I mainly created this vid so in 3 months I can see progress (getting excuses in for being a bit rubbish)

Does anyone have any tips on the barre chords b flat and b minor- they are proper difficult to make ring out clean. Are there any exercises I can do other than just repeat repeat repeat?

Cheers
Richard

Not sure what lithium has to do with barre and the Bb chord, but you must have missed the thread all about that in the last couple of days.

cool vid! well done for taking the leap into vid making! i wish there was a handy trick for making pesky chords like bflat and bminor easier, but i think basically yes it is practice practice practice ++++++++++++++++!

Wrist positioning helps when making barre chords or Bb. Change it around and you'll see where it's easiest. It doesn't have to be a drastic arch or anything. just a small cocking of the wrist for Bb helps a lot.

For me, wrist position is controlled by the position of the thumb on the back of the neck, I always keep my thumb directly where the fingers are, basically like a classical guitar player.

Thanks for the encouragement and that thread is very useful.

Initial testing of the heavy hand method in one of the vids seems promising, I'm going to trial a bit more and will let you know.
