Low g string for Gold Tone Little Gem.

Hello all, I’ve been scrolling through the threads for an answer to my question but haven’t found an answer. We have so many Low G questions you could start it’s own thread on it.

My issue is I wish to put a Low G string on my Little Gem banjouke. I have been browsing through the Long and McQuade site ( I live in Canada ) and I can’t seem to find a brand in which to order.

Anyone with a Low G Little Gem have any suggestions for a brand....thanx

Okay I finally found a reference at L&M they are Aquila-Corde Red Series for concert scale. I’m hoping the local store can string my Uke.

Thoughts on these strings......?

I have the reds on one of mine, but the banjoukes are the only ones I prefer regular strings on. The low g just seems like way too much of a drone on it. Have fun experimenting
