We should be expecting 3 months of cancellations, getting back to normal by 6 months so hopefully October gatherings can go ahead (just in time for northern hemisphere influenza season)

Yeah, someone needs to invent edible ukes. The military application would be URE (Uke Ready to Eat)

And they would come in all different flavors. "Bacon" would be a popular one.
Too many ukes, but I can't stop buying!

Well, at least we’re talkin’ ‘bout Ukes now. I‘d prefer a chocolate chip cookie baritone.
Kala "Spalted" baritone - Lo D GBE - Finger style
Gold Tone “Mini” Travel Banjo - Steel GCEA - Noodling
Luna “Peace” concert - CGBD Plectrum Banjo music

Kala tenor eight string - gGcCEEAA Strum ‘n Sing

Flea "Red" concert - Hi-G CEA - Wall hanger
Kala "Exotic Mahogany" soprano - Hi-A DF#B Wall hanger
Mahalo yellow "Smiley" soprano - Wall hanger
Ka-Lai Pineapple soprano (old) gift - Bookshelf

God gave us old age so we wouldn't mind dying so much.

As if things weren’t bad enough, we had a 5.7 magnitude earthquake here in Salt Lake City this morning. 10 secs of rattling windows & swaying light fixtures. Some power outages & damage in downtown SLC. No issues where I live. SL airport is close to the epicenter & closed. Just a little something to take our minds off Coronavirus. Yikes!
    My ukulele family.....
KoAloha Koa concert - circa 2006 (Living Waters)
aNueNue Moon Bird concert - Spruce & Rosewood - 2018 (Blackwater)
Blackbird Clara - 2019 (Oasis Bright)
Cocobolo concert - 2019 (Worth Brown)

Welcome to the California experience. We are always advised to have earthquake emergency supplies, which is advice largely ignored. The virus pandemic has everyone well prepared now. Maybe need to keep an uke with the supplies.

I've been through a few minor quakes here since I moved to Utah from Florida 32 years ago. First time for my 82 year old mom. Not her favorite experience, but at least it was minor. I wasn't even sure what it was at first because I didn't feel the shaking. But the weird sound, and the kitchen light swinging back and forth was a clue.

I was looking forward to the Stu Fuchs Live Stream event this morning, but the earthquake interrupted that.
