What is your preferred bridge wood?
I usually make the bridge the same material as the fretboard which is generally rosewood but I am wondering if a lighter bridge could be beneficial.
In guitar world a heavier bridge give more sustain, less volume.
For a yukulele maybe volume is more important.
I build tenors with a classical type bridge.
I am considering using walnut for bridge for my next build.
Anyone have experience with it?

I try and make the bridge from the same material as the top with mahogany .. but with Koa I prefer rosewood or ebony.

Rosewood here... But I don't see why walnut or any other reasonably dense hardwood would not work. I don't get too hung up on this aspect of the build.

Mahogany/Meranti. If it looks insipid, it gets dyed to complement the theme.
Walnut should also be a good choice.
