The Mauna aa Tenor Ukulele is now available. Created and built during and before the lockdown, this fantastic ukulele is a one of a kind in many special ways.

The Wood – The back and sides of this wonderful instrument are made from all solid highly figured Mahogany from the most famous wood in the word – The Tree. Obtained at a money raising auction for the Association of Stringed Instrument Makers (A.S.I.A.) with proper certification from the source. This wood has amazing figure and has the density and properties of rosewood in its’ tone as well. The top is fine grain, old growth Port Orford Cedar. It has a Spanish Cedar Neck, Koa Bindings, and an Ebony Fretboard and bridge.

The Look – It looks amazing, as you can see. The Volcano Inlays on the Peghead and Fretboard were designed to give an amazing uniqueness to this instrument. These inlays were done by the Master, Mr. Harvey Leach who does awesome art for many top makers and some of the most expensive instruments in the world. The Rosette is figured Redwood with Pau Abalone surrounding the redwood. The top Koa binding is also surrounded by Pau Abalone.

Quality Components and Build – This is a 17 1/32 Scale Tenor ukulele. It has hand split, carved bracing, bone nut and saddle, Gotoh Planetary Tuners (what a pleasure), fret markers, side markers, and is finished in high gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer. Hear and see it being played on the attached link. The neck is attached in the traditional dovetail fashion.
Purchase includes KNA Piezo Transducer Electronics, an Oahu Hardshell case with D’Addario humidifier and a custom display stand.
We have priced this special instrument at a real discount. We want it out in the world where it can be played and enjoyed!
