Hey all, just repaired a *beautiful* Carmencita baritone ukulele. Now comes the string game- I've had issues with baritone strings being too short on my old uke, so I want to make sure they'll fit. Like in title, scale of the instrument is 30" and from bridge to the top peg is about 25". Been looking at the D'Addario EJ88B strings, do y'all think they'll fit?

Stay safe out there!

30" ? That would be a baritone *guitar*. Are you sure it isn't 20"?

Oh gods, yeah, I measured it wrong. What I meant was that it was 30 inches top to bottom. 20 from nut to saddle. Apologies!

I use D'Addario from time to time and they cut the ukulele and classical guitar strings the same length—so the EJ88B should be plenty long (you'll have to trim them in fact). Martin is one of the few string makers to trim the length to match scale length, e.g., Martin ukulele strings are too short on a classical guitar but D'Addario ukulele strings are so long I can use the trebles on a classical guitar if I want.
