It’s such a lovely day I decide to go outside and do a bit of side bending..and while waiting for Foxy to warm up and cool down I managed to do a bit of ukulele practice..You don’t often get many days like these in the UK. But this year we’ve had the sunniest spring since records began.

Excellent! I recently discovered that bending wood is not all that easy.

Is that a pair of dentist's pliers I see in the last photo? Reminds me of going to the dentist when I was a kid.

Do you get much spring back when using Foxy? If so, do you do anything about it?

depends on the type of wood ...With Koa hardly any spring back..with mahogany I usually get a little spring back, that’s at the upper and lower bouts....but my bender over bends at the waist and i usually end up relieving it at that area to fit the mould.

No they are about 5mm wider than the finished size for sopranos..by the time they are sanded on the radius dish ..then linings fitted and sanded again on the radius dish..they will be just right ..maybe the pics give a false image.
