Hi Guys,
I have been learning German for a couple of years now and I listen to a lot of great music from all different genres on YT....
I love Drafi Deutscher, Rita Paul, Bill Ramsey (originally an American but gained German citizenship in the '80s)...other artists I like are Marius Mueller Westernhagen, Gus Backus (another American) and of course, Die Toten Hosen are my faves...
A question: I am having a very difficult time finding information (in English at least) about a great 50s group....sometimes they are called the Cornel Trio and sometimes the Cornel Quintet, sometimes Rita Paul sang with them, sometimes not....they have a really great set of harmonies and a lot of great music is on YouTube....Here is one example:
Reg Dich Nicht Auf (my poor German skills have me thinking this is Don't get mad)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpHabQCqSMU
Anyone know any sources of English language info on these bands? Wikipedia is weak....
Anyway, if you want to chat about German music I'd love to hear from you....
Annie
