Marquetry inlays

Those could look very handsome on the right instrument.

I think those are more for purfling than binding? But I couldn't really tell. Especially from the title of the item.
 
My guess is that it’s not designed for luthiery but somebody saw it was the same size as their binding and slapped some marketing keywords on it. 5mm wide x 1mm thick would work as binding if it can bend without coming apart. It’s too thick in the pattern direction for purfling. Pattern-wise it looks more appropriate for a backstrip. Im assuming this is actually pieces of wood and not printed plastic. I don’t see anything on the post that says.
