Hi Folks,
I am an advanced beginner, or better said, perhaps just-intermediate at what I enjoy doing, which is chords and strumming. In some ways, I prefer to play my Uke like a guitar (don't judge), and enjoy 70s/80s punk rock, alternative music, rock, and some jazz (cannot play yet on the uke).
I am looking for a good private teacher--not interested in group lessons or video. I am looking for someone who would be good at teaching the music I like (or, basic rock-roots, which apply), or at least won't "force" me to do finger picking (no interest), Hawaiian music, classic-uke sing along. Would like to learn basic theory applied to rock chords and strumming. Many of the suggested teachers on some of the websites seem to be getting away from doing private lessons.
