WTB Pono L20 parlor guitar

Hi, not sure if this is of interest to you, but I just saw a Pono O-10 Acacia Small Body Parlor Guitar for sale on Reverb — looks like the seller (not me) is asking $499.

I thought an 0-10 was parlor size? If not, what is the difference (if you don't mind layin' some insight on me)? Thanks!

People now use the term “parlor” in a lot of different ways. “0” sized guitars are small but I don’t consider them parlor guitars.

Here’s what Pono includes in their Parlor Series: https://www.ponoukulele.com/new-page-1

They are about an inch narrower, and are also quite a bit less expensive. Pono was selling the all-mahogany L20 (which I prefer to Acacia) for $500 brand new just a few months ago. They are now out of stock.

Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare?
Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there?
Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again?
Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?

Thanks for this info — I was wondering, too! :)

I have that acacia o-10. I think it's a Gibson l-00 Replica

You know I have had a number of Pono small body guitars, various wood and 0 sizes..
I am a hobby luthier, build ukes, do setups, nut and saddle adjustment so on in my shop.

I buy , try and sell stuff all the time. Its my retirement hobby. Its a $$$ looser, but it keeps me interested.
Pono guitars ...They are nice...but I always felt were a tab overbuilt and heavy, with a somewhat choked voice and chunky neck
just my opinion, I certainly could be wrong.

However If I am brutally honest, I have a Alvarez AP70w walnut parlor slothead 12 fret that its built, looks and sound are wonderful, bone nut and saddle, rossett and ivory bound freboard and binding around guitar... big voice and beats the Pono. And yes, its laminate back and sides. $399 new with great gig bag. When something is good, its good, no matter where its made.
