I ordered a Shima ukulele that should arrive in a couple of wedks. On the Shima web site Jake says that it is equipped with a special custom set of nylon strings made for him by D'Addario. But... these strings are not available fir purchase. Weird. So, when in the future I will decide to replace the original strings, what should I do to get the same sound and intonation?

Jake and Bruce prefer higher tension nylon strings, so they buy D'Addario classical guitar nylon strings in bulk and use those on their ukuleles. You can ask Shima which strings they recommend and buy those yourself at your favorite guitar store (as 4 individual strings). Or you can use pre-packaged D'Addario "custom extruded" nylon ukulele strings which will be the same quality, but probably with slightly thinner gauges and lower tensions.
