Most beautiful things have a bit of sadness to them! ;-)
My favorite part of the song’s construction is that if you remove the melancholy lyrics, bump up the tempo, and give it some bounce, it still doesn’t sound weird. It sounds just at home as an upbeat number as it does as a slower sad one and I think that’s the mark of a truly great, beautiful tune.
