When I saw this model on other channels, I thought it looked like a bit much; in person, it grew on me and I think it works well. The only appointments it lacks are a side sound port, slotted headstock, satin neck, and compensated saddle.
Like all the laminate zizicote models I have played, it comes across as a pretty standard laminate instrument. There are better sounding laminates, including the Peripole Classic Tenor by Enya that I reviewed last week; but ultimately, you're not buying this ukulele for the tone, it's for the looks. That said, it's not a bad sound (I have heard FAR worse). And every other laminate ziricote I have played is in the same boat as it comes to sound.
