I was planning on getting a baritone uku and was thinking of getting Aquila 23U gCEA strings. If I wanted a low G can I use the G from the original DGBE strings? Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, why would you go to the trouble of getting a baritone but string it like a soprano?

Perhaps for the longer scale length?... but perhaps a tenor would be a better fit?

The very best sounding baritone I ever heard was strung GCEA. Gawd, it rang, and was fun to play. But I couldn't reach far enough on the fretboard for fancy chords.

I think that this would be an octave lower G, the included G is already like the original.
