FS: Blackbird Clara

I have a Blackbird Clara for sale. It’s currently in low g and in very good condition, has a radius fretboard, 2 strap buttons, a strap, and comes with the Blackbird Gator soft case. I bought it from Hawaii Music Supply several years ago. There is one mark on the uke where a hole was drilled for a strap button on the neck. It wasn’t a great location so I sent the the uke to Blackbird in SF and had Joe fill that place in and put in a new strap button in a better place on the neck. He said there was absolutely no harm done to the ukulele and I’ve included a photo of the mark in the pictures attached. The Clara is a beautiful concert ukulele and the tone is warm and loud and just incredible! The radius fretboard makes it extremely comfortable and easy to play. So, why am I selling? Well, I played ukulele like crazy for a few years but for the past year, I’ve mainly played guitar and I know that’s where my focus is these days.
I’m asking $1150, including shipping. (New, the base price for the Clara is $1295.00, a radius fretboard adds another $195, a 2nd strap button $25, a Gator soft case $150 bringing the total to $1665)

I paid about the same price for a used Clara without the radius fretboard. My Clara is louder than my Farallon and the look is just cool! If I didn't have one, I'd buy yours. Good luck with the sale!

Bootstrap and other interested folks- My tech savvy son isn’t home right now to help me reply to a PM and my replies keep getting cut off. I’m just going to add a little more info about my Clara here. When my son gets home, I’ll have him help me with the PMs.
I actually don’t remember when my Clara was built. I do believe she was one of the early ones with a radius fretboard. Here’s the serial number in case that sheds any light on the build year- 18880915 and I think the letters following the numbers are BCU.
I talked with Joe of Blackbird Ukuleles on a number of occasions, visiting his shop in SF when he changed the strap button location for me and at the Reno Uke fest several years in a row. He’s a great guy and I know my Clara got his personal attention. It’s a really fine instrument.

Hey Emma. It's probably not you making any mistake. UU has a problem with cutting off posts lately, in PM especially. Trading e-mail addresses in the first of the PM is the best solution I've found to communicating....unless you want to risk putting e-mail address public and getting spammed.
