Thanks, kissing, for your input. I didn't know that the different pickups might make a difference, so I'll definitely keep that in mind, should I keep pursuing this beyond the Zoom/IRig that I just got. I have lots to learn about this whole new-to-me area. Even if I just stick with the IRig, I'd like to learn about the various pickups, so some reading up on all that will be in my future. Same thing with amps and pedals. I have much to learn.

For now, the IRig was a great idea during a pandemic, and since I can move it from uke to uke, I can decide which, if any, of my ukuleles might get a pickup installed post-pandemic.
