I really started getting better when I found the Ukulele Underground Aldrine Guerrero play-alongs. I get embarrassed messing up in groups, but this play along format saves me from self consciousness. I have never taken actual lessons.

What is your goal? What do you want want to learn? Different courses are good at different things.
My favourite is James Hill's The Ukulele Way (at https://uketropolis.com ) for Solo / Chord-Melody arranging and playing. It's probably not what you want if you're looking for help playing specific modern songs.

I vote for Daniel Ward's - Arpeggio Meditations.
Not really an online class - but with his included videos - I found it more helpful than any online course.

I've really enjoyed The Ukulele Way by James Hill. He's an excellent teacher and his materials are outstanding. I've enjoyed playing the pieces in his later books and I find the community to be supportive and informative. I also enjoyed Uke Like the Pros for some of the beginner material. I veered away from it because I started to not enjoy the music selections as I moved along, but the instruction is clear and videos are easy to play with.
I've done both UkuleleWay and RockClass101. They're both good - but very different. If you like to learn by graded steps, then UkuleleWay could be for you. If you like to jump into the mix by learning a song and then be sent to other places at the site to fill in your learning gaps, then RockClass101 will work for you. I prefer the step at a time building block approach so I was helped more by UkuleleWay. However many people prefer the "immersion" approach and that's a little more like RockClass101.
Most courses will give you some kind of a trial period for free or reduced cost. It's a good way to see if an online course fits your personality and needs.

'Uke like the Pros' with Terry Carter is very good as well. He has weekly live sessions for the ukulele, baritone, guitarlele, and guitar. There are lots of video lessons available if you have a membership. He also has monthly challenges with prizes.

Another vote for James Hill and his Uketropolis website; I am most familiar with the Ukulele Way, but his other courses are also excellent.

I like James Hill, but Chee/Maisel are also very good. Finding a good instructor isn't my problem. I have to faithfully watch the videos and then practice.
Go to YouTube and check Aldrine’s Uke Minutes. He posted a lot of them for free, although if you sign up for the premium UU subscription (which is inexpensive), you get access to more and more in-depth work.
Also, the late Ukulele Mike Lynch posted an amazing number of tutorials on YouTube. He was a teacher professionally, and very good.

I have been following Stu Fuchs for a while now. He really breaks things down well and throws a lot of information out there. I also had good luck with James Hill's Ukulele Way and Jazz Uketropolis. Both great and patient teachers.

On YouTube, Cynthia Lyn is excellent for beginners.
I will also second the recommendation for Stu Fuchs as a free YT source that has some valuable content, although I personally don't value his stuff enough that I would pay for it.
I find some of the YT stuff from TenThumbsProductions to be helpful.

I'll third the Stu Fuchs (Ukulele Zen) recommendation (https://www.youtube.com/c/UkuleleZen). He has a lot of free resources and you can become a patron on Patreon to access additional stuff. I'm signed up for a week long Ukulele Zen workshop with Stu this summer (June), which I'm really looking forward to. I also like The Ukulele Way class(es) that James Hill does.
My second favorite YouTube ukuele resource, or maybe tied with first place with Stu, is Marco Cirillo Ukulele (https://www.youtube.com/c/MarcoCirilloUkulele). Again, lots of free resources with more available (tabs primarily) if you're a patron via Patreon.
Finally, I've also taken virtual lessons (Zoom) on baritone ukulele from Joe Martone (https://www.joemartonemusic.com/) and found him to be a great teacher.

I am a monthly subscriber to James Hill's Ukulele Way and have taken a number of his other courses. I would recommend those. At the very least, take the $1 first ukulele course, even if you arent a beginner. The $1 is worth hearing him explain his pedagogy approach and determining whether you want pay for the Booster Uke course, which I also have paid for and recommend.

I'm a subscriber to Ukulele Underground and it's fantastic. I especially love the wide variety of songs you can learn and the lesson videos are awesome and break the songs down with awesome visual support. I've never seen anything else online that is the quality and clarity of these song lessons.
