Anyone here play a Cavaquinho?

With my limited knowledge, this instrument appears designed for all steel strings. Is there something different about the neck, bracing etc. that allows for increased tension of steel strings?

Yes, there are steel strings on the original instrument. I use nylon, I had it on hand:)
I don't know if he has a neck brace tool. I only had it in my hand once and I didn't look at it. But maybe not, the strings are very thin.
