I review a lot of entry level instruments, but most are serviceable.

This one was completely unplayable out of the box--and was ordered from a music education specialist dealer. Someone should have inspected it along the way, from the factory, to the brand, to the specialty dealer.

On top of that, it is a travel ukulele with a wooden fretboard. Truly awful idea.

You'll have to see this one to believe it. And sadly, there are music teachers who don't know any better who will buy these and not know what to do when they arrive (most music educators, like myself, have no experience with ukulele...it wasn't a part of our training).

That's a shame. There are some other dirt cheap ukes that aren't wonderful, but are at least playable.
