Koaloha Opio issues

I purchased a concert Koaloha Opio on the board and I seem to have issues with it staying in tune - especially the E string. I can actually see it slip out of tune.

Would it be wise to change the tuners? Perhaps planetary tuners? I can't seem to find Koaloha replacements anywhere.

Sounds like the tuner is loose. Tighten the set screw on the tuner button.
Not to tight, just tight enough to hold.

Did that but it still moves?

I saw that one in mp, that's a bummer. if you haven't done so already, you might contact koaloha and see what they suggest. you never know...

KoAloha does have the better than the weather warranty, even on the KoAlohas. If it is something as easily fixable as a faulty friction peg, they might very well just send you one in the mail.

Fixed it. I tighten the screw as much as I can and it seems to be working! Thank you for all of your help.

If the problem comes back, you could add a very thin washer between the tuner and hack of headstock to gain more grip, which seems less invasive than cutting a bit off of the screw end.
