I'm trying to decide what to do with my license plate ukulele. It plays somewhat decently, but I'd like it to sound better.
There is still a bit of buzzing from the license plate. At least I think that's what's going on. The action is too high because the neck is angled up slightly. I think I'll slice it off the body and cut an angle into it
I could cut it off close to the body and sand the remainder off the body. It's attached with two dowels, glue, and a screw. Getting the angle right is the first step. Then I can see how it sounds and do something with the license plate, if necessary. I have about $12 invested in this, so I can take chances.
