When I read the theme, this was the first song that came to mind, God of the Moon and Stars by a Dutch singer called Kees Kraayenoord.

Hello, Edwin! I recorded this with indecent haste because it is snowing here (again!) - we have had snow on the ground since Christmas Day - and I was worried that I might be about to lose the Internet. Anyway, I'd never heard this one before yesterday, and I've never seen "Sesame Street", although we DID have a rather dubious Cookie Monster lurking around the house for a while, courtesy of younger son. It's a sweet song, though, and I tend to agree with the lyrics ... although we might as well be living on the moon at the moment!
"The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it has taken place" George Bernard Shaw
"Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city" George Burns
Thanks for hosting Edwin, make that 2 men on the moon.
Billy Preston's funky 1971 instrumental for concert ukulele, with overdubs of Ashbory Ubass, shaker, voices, and wah wah uke. Special thanks to guest vocalist Robert Planet.
Cheers Edwin!
A rough n ready version of 'Here Comes The Sun' ..........
Thanks for hosting, Edwin - I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy your debut in the hot seat!
It has been too long (ie more than 3 seconds) since I did a Depeche Mode cover, but I am about to rectify that situation. This one was an album track (but only included on certain editions of their fabulous 1986 album Black Celebration) and a B-side, but still one of my favourites and unusually uplifting for a DM song! It mentions stars, the moon and the sky. Surprisingly, this is just me and amplified bari uke here - no keys or rhythms!

One of my favourite songwriters is Vance Gilbert and when I saw this week's topic, I knew I'd have to learn this song of Vance's.
Here's my attempt at Goodbye Pluto.
