George Harrison - Ain't She Sweet version

Here are the chords to Shine on Your Shoes that George is playing here.
He starts by strumming a G7 for the intro then:
|C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C|Dm G7|C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C|C!C!|
Then the bridge goes: |Em|B7|Em|B7|D6|D6|G7|G9! G7!|
Then he goes into:
|C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C! Ab7|Ab7 G7|C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C|Dm G7|C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C|C|
Then he repeats the bridge
The Ending goes like this: |C|Dm|C|Dm|C A7|D G7|C! Ab7|Ab7 G7|C
When you see a chord with an exclamation point, just strum the chord once.

Edit: sorry guys, I meant to indicate the chord shapes George is using. He is using mostly common, down-the-neck, open chords, so I will show the ones that may not be obvious. I don't know everyone's skill level, so I will also show the closed chords. I write them from left to right, from 4th string to 1st string.

Thanks, that's really detailed chords you provided. Do you know what's the strumming pattern that George used? I tried to play by my self but that sounds very different from what George played.

His hands are playing really close to the screen. You can watch and listen and try to figure it out. Try slowing it down on Youtube by going into settings>speed>50% and see if that helps you. If it is too difficult you can play |1 2 3 4|1 2 3+4+| for the verse part (the 1 2 3 4 are on the down beat and the + is for the upbeat) and for the turn around play |1 2 3+4+|1 2 3+4+|, it's not exactly what he plays but he is mixing it up a bit for interest, and even adds triplets in that second verse, but this should get you through the song. Good luck.

This is obviously NOT George Harrison. Though the song is nice and an old Beatles cover.

I get it. It's the triplet that makes it so different. I am still learning uke and cannot master triplets for now. Nice advice anyway.

His wife might disagree... she posted the video on her Instagram. I tried to post the link to the article that stated such but this site forbid me from doing it. Also, the Beatles never covered "A Shine On Your Shoes".

Here's how I play Ain't She Sweet:

Ain't She Sweet w-Jack Yellen m-Milton Ager

(C) Ain’t (C#dim) she (Dm7) sweet? (G7)
See her (C) coming (C#dim) down the (Dm7) street. (G7)
Now I (C) ask you (E7) very (A7) confi(A7+5)dential(A7)ly,
(D7) Ain’t (G7) she (C) sweet? (G7)

(C) Ain’t (C#dim) she (Dm7) nice? (G7)
Look her (C) over (C#dim) once or (Dm) twice. (G7)
Now I (C) ask you (E7) very (A7) confi(A7+5)dential(A7)ly,
(D7) Ain’t (G7) she (C) nice? (G7)

Just cast an (F9) eye in her di(C)rection
Oh, me! Oh, (F9) my! Ain’t that per(C)fection? (Dm) (G7)

(C) I (C#dim) re(Dm)peat,(G7)
Don’t you (C) think that’s (C#dim) kind of (Dm) neat? (G7)
And I (C) ask you (E7) very (A7) confi(A7+5)dential(A7)ly,
(D7) Ain’t (G7) she (C) sweet? (G7)

Wow, I had a lot of difficulty posting this. It kept cutting off the last part of my post.
I think A7+5 is what you call this chord 0110. It's just one beat, so you can leave it out.

Thanks this is hard to believe as he died decades before people started making faceless selfie videos of their uke playing. If you still have the link handy please send by pm.

PM with link sent. For those of you who are interested if you Google "Olivia Harrison ukulele" it should be one of the first hits on the page - a short article on cosmicmagazine.com.
