The playability of this banjo uke is superb for somebody who enjoys a soprano-concert scale ukulele. Scale length is 14 inches, action is low, volume is LOUD and amplified away from the player by the flange/resonator. Sound is gold - even renowned luthier Aaron Keim from Bean Sprout has said that there is not much he has done to make improvements over vintage banjoleles as stated in his comparison video:
https://youtu.be/mESCz8Bhyc4 (note my banjolele is not the same vintage model being compared, but IMHO is of higher quality and better equipped)
This banjolele is approximately 100+ years old and may increase in value overtime. Ideally, it will find its home with a true collector who will also appreciate and bring out the true beauty of its sound.
Comes with original hard case that is in useable condition if you aren't traveling with it - missing a section of its lip on the bottom portion of the top cover where one of the buckles would be. Still has two functioning buckles in the middle and upper portion.
Long neck soprano scale - 14 inches from nut to bridge
Dark cherry stained mahagony neck
Signature Stromberg-Voisinet headstock design with pearl inlaid diamond logo
Friction tuners
Pearl inlaid dot fret markers at 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th frets with dual dots at 7th and 12th frets signifying this as one of the higher end models of the time
1.25 inch width neck width at nut, 1 7/16ths inches wide at 15th fret
8.25 inch dark cherry stained maple pot
Synthetic velum banjo head
Custom maple bridge
