    Default cats or dogs

I love both, but I am a little more partial to cats. We have a lovely part Norweigian forest cat and he is seriously the most wonderful cat. He is so calm, sweet, docile, tolerant of hugs and kisses (grunts during sometimes though, lol!) and he's so soffffttttttt I love petting him..

Cats for me, without any hesitation. I like other peoples' dogs, but I share my life with a stray cat who honoured me by accepting my offers of food and protection. He is extremely nervous of anything or anybody unfamiliar, but he is a great companion.

Cats, no contest. They're content to just kick back and chill, and I've never had one start howling when I played.

I do wonder why mine swats at the strings and will bite them if I let her. Does anyone else's cat do that?

    There's the old saying:

Dogs think of people as family.
Cats think of people as staff.

That's dead right, Jim. It is also said that when you provide for all of a dog's needs, and show it love and protection, the dog thinks you must be a god. A cat thinks [I]it[I] must be a god.

Cats are utterly self-centred sociopaths, but of such transparent innocence that I find them completely captivating.

Neither, I'm allergic to cats. Plus I just don't like them. We had a dog when the kids were young because they wanted a puppy but it got old and died. I was not particularly saddened by the passing. We don't want another one. I'm not a dog hater by any means, but our lifestyle does not support having a dog to deal with.
I don't want to live in a world that is linear.

I just want everyone to understand that I am not a ukulele expert, even though it may look at times like I'm pretending to be.
