I see the fish!

It does not appear as if these are well "bookmatched" when looking at both the front and the back.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I'll do it again:
"Kala" is Finnish for "fish" so... checks out I suppose :D

Fish and Ukulele can go well together.

I've been working on the song Fishin' Blues.......attributed to Chris Smith 1911....first recorded by Henry Thomas in 1928 and popularly and regularly played and recorded by Taj Mahal.

I have a number of high grade Koa instruments. That doesn't look like high grade to me.

I love that song. I bought a resonator uke just so I could try and do it like Taj. I can't.

The Kweskin Jug Band back in the day, did a nice version of Fishing Blues. I kind of like the Kala fish!

Then we'll whistle and go fishing in heaven...

It's extremely odd to use a lower grade of Koa on the left side of the soundboard than the right. A $1300 instrument shouldn't be constructed out of whatever you could find lying around the shop that day.
